My blog..

I've been noticing how I haven't been getting a lot of comments on my blog lately.
Then I realized. I'm not leaving comments on these amazing blogs that I read.

I'm going to start leaving a comment on every blog post I love!

Leaving comments and being social with other bloggers, is how my blog grew.
Because every blogger you get to know, helps you in some way, it could be inspiration, it could be helping you design your blog, it could be giving you tips and tricks, or it could be helping your blog get out there.

I'm going to start getting my blog back out there, get to know new bloggers, making my posts matter.
Because everything you have to say is important.

If you feel like your posts don't matter, make them matter, it's your chose if your posts matter.
Get out there in the blogging world get to know new bloggers!
Leave some comments, spread some blog love, and help them grow!

Nice comments are what makes me keep blogging, knowing that my posts matter!
When I write posts from now on I'm not just going to post a picture, type out a couple words, and hit Publish.
I'm going to make then heartfelt and from me, and I'm going to make them matter!

Awhile ago I published a post that said, "comment with your link to your shop or blog, and you'll get free ad space."
That got about 10 comments, later I post something that had a couple pictures in them and I get 1 comment.
You should leave a comment because you like something, not because I'm your sponsor, or you'll win something.
I'm not saying to not leave comment because she {or he} is your sponsor, I'm saying to leave comments on posts you actually like.
Not just because she/he is your sponsor.

If you like this post, leave a comment.
If you don't, don't.

Let's go leave some nice comments!

xoxo sarah

  1. Great post! I know I am trying to be better about doing this myself. I love when I get comments, so I'm sure others do as well. Building community can't happen if people aren't interacting! :)

  2. I love this post. I would rather have 2 meaningful comments, instead of 13 "cute blog, follow back" comments. I have a little blogger circle of friends that I absolutely love and truly feel like we're besties, but I want to grow and meet more new people too!! I have to start going out of my comfort zone. :) Thanks for the reminder!!

  3. thanks for this post. I too am trying to make more of an effort commenting on others blogs posts i like and also sharing them via google+, facebook, Twitter and pinterest.
I always get so excited when I receive a really nice comment or mention on social media. It's always nice to know that someone out there actually cares what I'm writing about

  4. I totally agree, if I enjoyed reading the post (like this one), if I learned something, or if I agree that something is beautiful I will voice my opinion. I know I put a ton of time into my posts; both writing and scheduling, and it is nice to know that people out there in the bloggy world read them - I love to know what others thing. If the blogger comments and is a reply blogger I also try to email them back - quite an undertaking but it makes everyone feel connected!

  5. I agree with you Sarah ~ I try to be very diligent about commenting on all the blogs I follow.
There is a comment etiquette and a lot of bloggers don't follow it at all. There is nothing worse than spending time commenting on blogs to not have it returned at all.

  6. Totally agree comments shouldn't always be for something in return! It's nice to be nice & to know someone has taken the time to read your words

  7. It's crazy how big of a difference commenting on other blogs makes for people visiting yours! I can definitely tell when I've been busy & haven't been able to read many other blogs that comments on my blog drop as well lol. I think it must remind people we "exist" lol :P

  8. Comments are one of the best parts of blogging! My blogging friends and I joke about the rush we get when we get the email letting us know that we have a new comment - even more so when it's not from someone we know!
